Boherdeal Clover

Boherdeal Clover Is one of Ireland’s most successful showjumpers. Leased to the Army Equitation School, by his owner Padraic Goonan. He was ridden by Lt. David O’Brien with tremendous success.

He represented Ireland on numerous occasions and was a great favourite; he was a consistent performer with the technique everybody loved to watch.

His highlights; 2001 he won the Grand Prix in Lisbon Portugal, CSIO ***

He was also on the winning Nations Cup Team at Falstrebo, Sweden, CSIO****

2002 He won the Grand Prix in Gijon, Spain CSIO ****

He won International Clases at Deauville, France, CSI_A and at Falsterbo, Sweden, CSIO ****

He was also 2nd in the Kerrygold Grand Prix, Dublin Horse Show CSIO ****

As a young horse Boherdeal Clover was the National Discovery 4y’old Champion at Millstreet. He won the Irish Horse Board 5y’old Championship in Cavan, and was 13th in the World Breeders Championships, Lanaken, Belgium. He won the 6&7 y’old Guinness Harp Classic Cavan Championship as a 6 y’old and again 13th in the World Breeders Championships in Belgium.

As a 7 y’old he won the Hickstead Young Rider Competition and at 8 y’old he became Grade’A’ where he won the Royal Winsor CSI-A, ridden by Michael Whittaker. He has won six Grand Prix, three of these at top International Shows. Arrived to Ard Cherrymount Stud 26th February 2004

Ranked fourth in the WBFSH world ranking 2001/2002 Clover Hill who bred such International horses as Cagney, Flo Jo, Clover Leaf, Skyview, Carling King, Lahorna Queen etc.

Dam; Verginia Wolfe

Won the Breeders Championship, RDS Dublin Horse Show and Numerous other Championships.

Dam of Premium broodmare Mountcashel Little Wolf and Clontern Airborne (formally known as Mountcashel Diamond) owned by Lucie Clarke in Sussex, England, is showjumping successfully.

Her sire; Regular Guy (a winner on the track and 2nd in a Group 3) sired ‘Irish’, the Showjumping Olympic Bronze Medal winner at the 1992 Olympics Games.

Granddams sire; Zolferine amongst others sired Paul Daragh’s ’A’ grade Int. showjumper ‘For Sure’.
